“I’m going to Julliard, when I grow up,” is what Nia Sade said at the age of six. This spunky kid had already put her sights on attaining something not many kids her age even imagined doing or attaining.

Nia has grown up watching and listening to the The Wiggles, High School Musical and Camp Rock. She loves to do karaoke and can sing all of the hit songs from Rent, Hairspray and Les Misérables. She has performed in several plays and musicals. Her most memorable role was playing “Duffy” in Annie produced by Curtain’s Up Theatre Company. Nia has performed in Godspell and Fiddler on the Roof produced by Onstage Atlanta Theater Company and has had the unique opportunity of performing at the legendary Feinstein’s Cabaret in New York City.

After a grueling audition, Nia was one of only a few to be chosen and mentored by Adrian R’Mante for his Celebrity Actors Camp. Nia has also had the opportunity of meeting Cameron Goodman, Michelle Borth, and Lea Salonga who she acknowledges are her role models.

Nia got her “jump start” on the day of her birth when she first was introduced to Baby Signs® (a research-based sign language program for babies) via of her parents Zoom and Amy, who were former Baby Signs consultants and former teachers of deaf and hard of hearing students. Her parents understood the importance for babies being able to communicate early in life through the use of sign language, which was a direct contributing factor to Nia’s advanced reasoning and reading development. At four months she had her television début appearance on the Blue Ridge PBS Program of Tom Landon where she demonstrated her signing skills along with her parents. Her later noted television appearances were on NBC 11Alive Atlanta News as a WIZ Kid and on CBS Better Mornings Atlanta News modeling new spring attire.

Composing lyrics and music, karaoke singing, playing the piano and ukulele, along with learning the fine art of dancing the hula are only some of the activities Nia likes doing. She makes time to “accessorize” her dolls and relaxes while playing Sims™ and Lego Friends® on her iPad. She takes great pleasure in creating 3D animated stories with Alice and building and programming her Lego Mindstorm® robot. Currently, Nia is hosting her own internet radio show called Nia and Friends on BlogTalkRadio. Although the show keeps her quite busy these days, it does allow her opportunities to meet and talk with interesting people who she probably would never have met.

Nia Sade gives thanks for the support she receives from her family and friends every day and hopes she will accomplish most, if not all, of those things she dreams about doing.
